Пожалуиста, кто нибудь знает как происходит transfer из одного университета (F-1 status) в другои (тот же статус)? Интересует не столько необходимые документы сколько сама механика процесса - какие конкретно шаги и кем должны быть предприняты?

it's an easy process
very easy process:
1) you get new I-20 from the new school
2) advisor at new school files paperwork with INC and updates SEVIS
3) old school doesn't have to do anything (maybe this days update info in SEVIS)

1) you get new I-20 from the new school before the expiration of the grace period
2) old school has to "release your record from SEVIS", so that the new school could "enroll' you as their student in SEVIS.
3) International center at new school updates SEVIS - make sure they do, as I read many stories about screwup and poor students finding themselves out of status through no fault of their own.
4) you enroll in new school in the first available semester within 5 months.
