Dear Kotelok - if you do not need your house and are willing to sell it (or to rent it out, so somebody pays your morg.) - there are opportunities to live on campus.
Secondly, you may qualify for financial aid, etc. Speak with your academic advisor.
(women, single parent, etc.)
You may find a part time job (if you have any time left after classes) as a contractor (if you need more info, contact me via p.m.).
Cheap childcare on campus. Special rates for students.
A chance to get your student loan payed for you by the army (navy, etc.) if you are a citizen and are willing to work for them afterwards. This also may include a small pay from them while you are at school.
Same programms exist for those who are willing to work in rural areas (after they graduate, work there they usually have to for several years).
All info above is valid for psychology grad schools. However, I believe that this is applicable to most grad schools.
Good Luck! Personal growth is worth it. We are considering the same route.
