Я отвечаю - out of pocket... I guess...

Financial Aid is a broad term that encompasses a lot of different types of assistance. It includes scholarships, grants, loans, housing subsidies, work-study, and others.
The amount of the financial aid depends on your immigration status, your income, the program you choose, and the alignment of the stars.
You can get scholarship is the school feels like giving you a scholarship. You should ask them about it.
You can get federal grants if (1) green card holder or citizen (2) don't already have bachelor's degree (3) qualified income level and (4) some other minor things.
You can get state grants if you satisfy whatever state requirements are.
You can get federal loans if you are a green card holder or a citizen.
You can get private loans if you have a sufficient credit score (and green card holder, citizen, or have a co-signor who is a green card holder or citizen)
You can get school loans if they feel like giving them to you
You can also get some aid from private organization (www.fastweb.com)
The bottom line is: you should ask what forms of Fin Aid are available at that school. And you should apply.
