DHS is currently seeking candidates for a highly competitive Acquisition Intern Program (GS-1102 – Contract Specialist).

These entry level positions (GS-5 & 7) will culminate in a permanent full time position having a full performance level of GS-13. Each candidate that is selected to participate in this three year program will complete three distinct one year rotations in our operational contracting shops which may include exciting opportunities at:

US Coast Guard,

US Secret Service,

Customs and Border Protection,

Office of Procurement Operations,

Transportation Security Administration,

Immigrations and Customs Enforcement,

Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Additionally, the selected Interns will receive over 400 hours of technical training and all the experience necessary to become a sought after acquisition professional.
