There have been rumors that during the latest round of expert sessions when being pushed by Russia to seriously consider further negotiations with Georgian authorities, certain influential Abkhaz individuals really pissed off high-ranking Russian officials and expects. According to the rumors they had essentially tried to threaten and blackmail the Russians with something utterly inappropriate keeping in mind all the support Russia has been giving to them all this time. It was hinted (though not explicitly said) that it had something to do with the latest crisis in Chechnya.
