Hello, privetovci!
I'm currently on a work permit in Canada. It expires September 2004, and I need to get it extended. Application submitted by my current employer failed because a lawyer who filled it out before, showed my salary higher than it really is, so HRSDC replied that "there are enough qualified canadians to fill this position".(lakily I wasn't charged for misrepresentation)
I'm getting a raise and a promotion in order to get another work permit, and I'm in desperate need for a good lawyer, who can deal with HRSDC, and with visa office later on. Does anybody have one to advise? Anybody with a very good and pleasant experience?
Also, when doing my research on immigration lawyers I found that some of them charge $1000, but some of them-$4000 for the same service.... Any ideas on why is it so? I really appreciate any information on lawyers.
Thank you,
Sincerely,
Demon.

Thanks for your reply.
The thing with work permit is that you have to know the exact position you are applying for, exact and competitive (!) salary for this position, plus you have to proove there are no Canadians qualified to fill the position up.
One mistake makes your application to blow up like a bubble, that's what exactly happened with my first application, so I still need a lawyer:)
