Привет всем!
Вот говорилось здесь уже не раз, " только
дурак будет за деньги на graduate учиться,
на Master's degree (меня именно она интересует) только идиот assistantship не заполучит" и т.п.
[b:0d26c58af4]И все-таки[/b:0d26c58af4] как его заполучить, (боясь выглядеть идиотом) assistantship?
Возможно ли заполучить Residence штата, California например?
Может как-то еще можно отучиться не за 15K в год?

Gregory, every University has its own deadlines. Usually, if you want an assistanship, you have to apply by January 1st or so if you want to start studying in Septemeber. But again, check with the Universities you want to apply to.

Also, when I answered your first question, I forgot to mention that it is easier to get an assistanship in some majors and harder to get it in others.

To start, go to the homepages of the departments you are interested in; read about the Masters program. They will usually say whether they give assistanships to Masters students. If you are intested in this University, you will have to apply for admission. The application usually asks for GREs and TOEFL, sometimes for a subject test, recommendations. On the application, don't forget to say that you need an assistanship. After that, it all depends on the University... Usually people apply in the fall to start studying next fall.
