Primary Job Responsibilities:
RTM Platform product development team under Platform Engineering department is seeking a talented, creative, and passionate software engineer with strong sense of responsibility, is self-motivated, willing to go extra mile to resolve tough technical issues and deliver the right solutions.
Candidate should have solid hands-on skills and experience in designing / developing 24x7 operation monitoring and diagnosis software for highly distributed and high traffic ad servers.
You should be resourceful and up to date with latest open source tools for performance tuning and debugging. Strong analysis and hands-on problem solving skills are highly desired.
Development experience in software fault tolerance, fault detection and recovery techniques is a must. Candidate should be able to work on data collection, log analysis, systems monitoring and dashboard implementation.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of experience configuring, deploying, monitoring and maintaining multiple development and production instances of distributed Java web applications in a secure high availability environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical issues in language understandable to both Java software engineers and network/systems engineers
- Experience debugging Java infrastructure and application issues and tuning JVM configuration for improved performance and resource management
- Demonstrated fluency in Java and high-level understanding of all aspects of a modern Java technology stack, including networking, OS, JVM, application server and classpath configuration
- Ideal candidate should have love of clean logs and a hatred of spurious alerts.
