The Database Administrator is responsible for ensuring operation and maintenance of all ERT databases. Scheduling and monitoring database backup scripts, creation and management of database instances, data migration and upgrades.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for actively monitoring health and performance of production and non-production Oracle database infrastructure.
Responsible for the creation, support and maintenance of multiple database instances requiring 24/7 system availability and uptime.
Promptly respond to application and database infrastructure issues by investigating problems, determining the appropriate action by either resolving the problem or contacting the person who can resolve the issue.
Responsible for the routine database backup and data export of database instances.
Support developers with special database requests and technical assistance.
Performs tasks in accordance with department standard operating procedures.

Qualifications:
Bachelors in Computer Science and at least 6 years of overall Oracle experience.
At least 4 years’ experience as database administrator supporting Oracle 11gR2 RAC Database running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux in a mission critical production environment.
At least two years’ experience managing RMAN backups as well as integration with Symantc Netbackup.
At least one year’s experience managing Oracle Data Guard physical standby database.
Must be skilled in SQL and basic PL/SQL programming. Experience in query and index tuning is a plus.
Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c is a plus.
Experience with open source database implementation using Mysql or Postgresql.
Experience setting up replication in Mysql V5.2 or Postresql v9.1.
Perl or Bash shell scripting.
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and 2008(R2) is a major plus.
Demonstration of interpersonal skills necessary to maintain positive relationships with employee.
Minimal travel requirements of <10% per year.
