Nonimmigrant US visas: возможны задержки при получении

We have been advised that the Bureau of Consular Affairs division of the U.S. Department of State (DOS) is currently experiencing technical issues with their overseas passport and visa systems (Consular Consolidated Database). Although the DOS is urgently working to resolve the issues, there is unfortunately no communicated estimated time or date for the resolution.

Among the many impacted areas of DOS services, the technical issues are currently impacting the issuance of nonimmigrant visas abroad, not specific to any one particular visa type or country. As of June 16, 2015, the DOS has stated that they are unable to print most visas approved after June 8, 2015. In addition, U.S. embassies and consulates are unable to process new applications submitted on or after June 9, 2015. The DOS is asking for those individuals who have a visa interview appointment scheduled for June 14 - 20, 2015, and who have submitted their visa application (DS-160) online after June 9, 2015, to reschedule their appointment. For those who submitted their online visa application prior to June 9, 2015, they should plan on attending their scheduled visa interview appointment.

Additionally, the “hardware failure,” as reported by the DOS, is impacting the issuance of U.S. passports abroad; however, domestic U.S. passport applications remain unaffected. As of June 16, 2015, U.S. passport applications accepted overseas between May 26 and June 14, 2015 are impacted. If you applied for a U.S. passport overseas during this time frame and have travel plans within the next 10 business days, the DOS asks that you consider requesting an emergency passport at the U.S. embassy or consulate where you originally applied. Information regarding how to apply for an emergency passport can be found on the specific embassy/consulate website where you have applied.
