What You Do
Lead and mentor a group of smart engineers
Design, develop and maintain world class applications and APIs designed for high traffic
Uphold quality standards in design, code, tests and deployment process
Work closely with product owners and other stakeholder to understand and refine requirements
Create user stories with clearly defined acceptance criteria
Work on systems with enormous transaction processing requirements and ensure all SLAs are met or exceeded
Use industry best practices to deliver high quality code the first time, leveraging open source tools and utilities to automate daily builds and until testing
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional organizations including system architects, project managers, quality assurance, product managers and operations engineers
Represent development team in meetings with various stakeholders
Work with manager and team to achieve organizational goals

Qualifications

Who You Are
10+ years software development experience, with 6+ years of experience in Java
Organized self-starter who can work through problems/assignments with little direction
A problem solver who likes to put solutions on the table while discussing problems
Great communicator who works well with the team
Experienced in SCRUM or other Agile methodologies
Strong computing fundamentals and core Java skills
Experienced in Java, Groovy, Spring, JUnit, Gradle, Restful services, Scala, Javascript, MySQL, ElasticSearch/SOLR/Lucene

§ Experienced in Linux environment, basic shell scripting, Ansible and Python scripting
§ Knowledge of OpenStack/AWS, Containers and Orchestration technologies
§ Basic knowledge of OS workings (Processes, CPU, Memory, Threads) and network protocols (HTTP, TCP/IP, UDP)
§ Knowledge of design patterns
§ Experience with at least one dynamic or functional language

Education
BS/BA or Masters degree in Computer Science/Engineering or Information Technology and/or equivalent work experience.
