In addition to JavaScript, high proficiency in CSS and semantic HTML, competency in PHP 5 or other modern object-oriented programming languages is a plus. You must have:

· Expert-level JavaScript ability.

· Familiarity and experience with emerging standards such as HTML5's suite of technologies

· In-depth knowledge of available JavaScript libraries and frameworks, particularly jQuery

· Strong competency in CSS and semantic mark-up

· Exposure to at least one other object-oriented programming language (PHP 5, Java, C++, Ruby, Python)

· Firm grasp of cross-browser JS and CSS complexities

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to manage one's time effectively to meet multiple, tight deadlines



It would be nice if you have:

· Experience with CoffeeScript and Node.js

· Experience with optimizing performance of front-end applications

Responsibilities include:

· Long term planning and policy guidance for new infrastructure related technologies.

· Cloud infrastructure design and buildout.

· System package development (RPMs).

Requirements:



UNIX/Linux System Administration skills



· Broad experience with multiple Linux distributions; including specific knowledge of, and experience with, CentOS Linux.

· Experience building and maintaining packages for different systems (.pkg, .ebuild, .deb, .rpm, etc)

· Experience deploying and maintaining configuration management services.

· Experience with low level service such as, but not limited to: LDAP, DNS, SNMP, and Monitoring (Nagios, or otherwise).



Source Control and Management (SCM)



· Broad understanding of SCM (both centralized and decentralized), with specific operational and management experience with Subversion.

· Experience with git a plus.

· Experience with other systems (Mercurial, Bitkeeper, Monotone, SVK, etc) a plus but not required.

· Experience with the design and building of SCM commit related hook scripts.



Cloud Computing (Amazon EC2)



· Experience building highly scalable, redundant, and fully automated cloud based networks.

· Direct experiencing working with Amazon Web Services (including, but not limited to: EC2, IAM, SQS, S3, SNS, RDS, CloudWatch, and AutoScaling).

· Experience working with Amazon's Route 53, and VPC a big plus.



Languages



· Proficient with, and experience using, at least two scripting languages other than PHP (ruby, perl, python, sed).
