The NEW DELL Precision M 5520 - "success" story

Just a short story I wanted to share with people:

Purchased the new Precision for myself (Java developer using Linux all day long) http://www.dell.com/us/business/p/preci ... op5520hwus.

Laptop arrived yesterday, had to return it back today for a refund:
- the keyboard has defects - 3 keys are not properly working [f,j,u]
- the laptop is not sitting flat on a flat surface - the front right corner is hanging in the air, I tried different desks/tables;

Huge disappointment if you look at how much this machines costs.

Могло бы быть хуже, если бы вы купили новый mbp. Те же проблемы с клавишами. Но дороже.

А почему выбирали Precision а не оригинальный XPS 15: http://www.dell.com/us/business/p/xps-1 ... ?ref=PD_OC" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ?
Просто это не первый случай когда народ жалуется именно на Precision - мой шеф после третьей замены молотком свой раздолбал и взял Latitude "как у всех"

Wanted ubuntu instead of win10 and xeon cpu, I could configure that on Precision only.

завязывайте вы с делловскими лаптопами...
уж насколько я был их фанат лет так 5-7 назад, но последние два года все лаптопы в конторе от Леново.
проблем нет..вообще нет..

Ordered a Latitude 5480 as a replacement for Precision. Will upgrade the RAM to 32GB and SSD to 1TB (nvme) myself. CPU is gonna come from DELL - i7-7820HQ.

The question I have is about the 35W DELL specifies on this machine's CPU, could there be any impact on the performance because of this ?
