Привет всем.
с конца Апреля до середины Мая буду находтся в Louisville по програме Community Connection.

В связи с этим меня интересуют следующие вещи:

1. Какая погода ожидается в этот перод

2. Нет ли в Internet каких то сайтов, показывающих погоду on-line в этом районе, например как http://gismeteo.ru/

4. Что можно посмотреть интересного в городе и окресностях? Какие вообще впечатления производит этот город? Искал в Internet сайты с фотографиями города но так и не нашел, может кто знает ссылки ?

3. Я еще не знаю в каких IT компаниях мэнэджер программы подготовил мне практику, и чем эти компании занимаются. Сам я специализируюсь на Java/Oracle/Web поэтому хотелось бы знать, существуют ли компании с подобным профилем в этом городе или окресностях (очень не хотелось бы попасть к ребятам на FoxPro или Clipper ), потому что существует возможность скоординировать с мэнэджером место проведения практики.

From April to May there will be a lot of activities leading to our most popular annual event - Kentucky Derby on the first Saturday of May. There will be a parade in Downtown. There should be a hot air baloon show and race. There will be "Thunder over Louisville" - the largest fireworks show in the world (at least that's what they say) and an air show. Louisville is not a big tourist destination, but since you are coming here, you've chose the best time to visit. You can find a schedule of events at:

Are you coming through Louisville International Cultural Center?

Yes, I am the finalist of the Community Connection program organized by U.S. Department of States for new and developing countries like Russia, Moldova and others. More detail information is here http://www.iatp.md/ccalumni/. http://www.licc-online.org. In this year 20 people from Moldova will come to Louisville. One group from 10 people is mass media and journalists group, another one from 10 people including and me is a business group.

Who are you going to be living with?

Unfortunately, I have no ideas about the host families, but hope to know details on this week. Only one thing I know right now, I will live in the two host families.

What company are they placing you with?

I request from this program to put me inside the software developing company for studying some management skills in area of project management. Also it will be interesting to see all steps of project developing cycle: specification writing, testing, production, code maintains and others. But, also, they tell me nothing about the companies, and I am worry about this. It will be better for me to see the production processes related to my specialization (Java/Oracle/Web), but hope everything will be ok.
