Unemployment benefit and self-employment
I’m currently getting an unemployment benefit. Would like to start working as an independent consultant, but rather uncertain about the future income - at least at the beginning. Was wondering if there’s a legal way to keep getting unemployment and being self-employed. Thank you.

You cannot do that. Every week you have to report your income, if any, before they send you unemployment check. If your income is more than $60 per week (this number is vary in different states) then your unemployment benefits will stop.
