There are thousands of accounting software applications. Most of the companies prefer to have their own accounting software developed especially for the needs of the particular company. The most frequently encountered software would be SCALA, Platinum, SUN. Also PeopleSoft and SAP include some accounting modules but these two programs can hardly be called accounting - they are much more powerful.
