Well, it's hard to guess from the fund's name..
I would be biased to trust Russian national security authorities in such cases, rather that listen to Western media, West has its interests in Russia, Russia has its interests to protect.

I think meaning of Russia in the present context is Russian Politicians+Big Russian capitalists, i don't think anybody on this forum is so naive, as to think, that people of any country are united.

We are not talking about "any" country. We are tempted to describe Russia as a "democratic" one (in this topic), correct? And by the way, do you speak Russian by any chance?
