Штаты и Европа повязаны общими интересами гораздо теснее

PARIS, Feb 20 (Reuters) - Airbus planes are about to get a little more American.
Threatened by the U.S. dollar's steep two-year fall, the European jet maker is taking aggressive steps to shift its currency risk to firms that supply components for its planes.
The measures, described in interviews with some of the Toulouse, France-based manufacturer's top suppliers, are likely to give U.S. suppliers a more substantial share of Airbus business, notably on high profile new programmes like its A400M military transport plane.
Meanwhile, Airbus's traditional European suppliers are under pressure to accept contracts in dollars -- a development which is forcing them to buy more of their own parts in the United States and other dollar-zone countries.
These trends are likely to gather momentum in the years ahead as Airbus looks to achieve more balance between its revenues, which are almost exclusively in dollars, and its costs, roughly half of which are in euros......

Though Airbus was launched three decades ago to challenge U.S. dominance in commercial aircraft, it has always relied on American suppliers. Firms like General Electric , United Technologies , Honeywell and Rockwell Collins do hundreds of millions of euros in business with Airbus each year.
